Bellisario tells Yahoo TV that she and Suits creator Aaron Korsh had always talked about the possibility of Claire returning. “We had a lot of long-running jokes about in what capacity she would be coming back — whether it was, like, a long bender night in New York between her and Mike, or what was eventually going to happen with her character,” she says. “But when he did call me and say, ‘You know, I do have something and I want to bring Claire back for it,’ and it worked out with my schedule with Pretty Little Liars, I was just so excited to get to go back and play in the world, to get the opportunity to see what Claire is now.”

Troian Bellisario, Stana Katic, Jess Weixler and Michelle Trachtenberg have been tapped to star in the indie drama “Sister Cities,” based on the play by Colette Freedman.

The story revolves around four estranged sisters who reunite to mourn what they believe is the suicide of their mother.

Alfred Molina, Jacki Weaver, Amy Smart and Tom Everett Scott are also on board the project from Cannonball Prods. Sean Hanish is directing and producing for Cannonball Prods. Lensing began last week in Los Angeles.

“Sister Cities” marks a reunion for the team behind the Emmy-nominated “Return to Zero,” toplined by Minnie Driver. Like “Sister Cities,” “Return to Zero” was independently produced and financed by Cannonball. After making the festival rounds, it was acquired by Lifetime and aired last year.

Paul Jaconi-Biery and Eleonore Dailly are producing “Sister Cities” with Hanish. Molina and CBS exec Kelly Kahl are exec producers.
